The Senior Production Operator executes manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, primary and secondary packaging with minimum supervision. Identifies and leads opportunities for improvement throughout the operation. Is a SME and trainer for areas of expertise. Provides a high level of technical troubleshooting. Ability to set up equipment independently for assigned production areas.
Responsibilities
- Proven success in all tasks and skills as defined in the Production Operator role
- Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and guidelines, and facilitate a proactive safety culture.
- Advanced equipment and process troubleshooting.
- Detect and anticipate equipment malfunctions and handle accordingly.
- Make decisions to terminate processes or request management intervention where personal safety or product quality may be jeopardized.
- Ensure information and data entry is complete and accurate for in process work, completed work orders and other related documents.
- Participate in departmental initiatives as needed including procedure updates, POMs, CPRs, identify and assist in driving improvement.
- Subject Matter Expert and trainer/coach on advanced production processes.
- Assist with audits as needed when operator interviews are requested.
- High school diploma or GED required, and 3 – 4 years cGMP manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Is a SME and trainer for areas of expertise.
- Technical experience and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs and applications required.
- A demonstrated focus and understanding of the importance of maintaining the highest level of quality and ensuring compliance to site level policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate issues to appropriate operations, engineering and mechanical teams required and the capability of reading P&IDs.
- Demonstrated understanding of HMI controls, vision inspection systems, and product serialization systems in order to troubleshoot and resolve inefficiencies in a timely manner. Evaluate data and understand trends and alarms.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with systems such as POMs, SAP, and MAXIMO

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
