The Senior Director - Card Risk Solutions, will lead the growth and evolution of Visa’s risk solutions designed to help financial institutions mitigate fraud on Visa card transactions. This role is accountable for defining the strategic roadmap, driving commercial success, and advancing product development initiatives.
The position requires close collaboration with clients, client services, and regional and global product teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in card payments, a strong commercial acumen, and the ability to foster cross-functional alignment across product, technology, sales, and client-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic ownership: Define and execute the strategic vision for integrating Visa’s fraud management capabilities, informed by market trends, client needs, and Visa’s 2030 strategic priorities. Partner with regional teams to craft compelling value propositions tailored to diverse client segments.
- Product leadership: Build and manage the product roadmap to deliver a unified value proposition, ensuring a customer-centric approach. Collaborate with product and data science teams to prioritize initiatives, develop business cases for new capabilities, and design proof-of-concepts to validate client demand and technical feasibility.
- Go-to-market and commercialization: Establish an integrated client experience encompassing contracting, onboarding, and support. Innovate pricing strategies, product bundling, and engagement models to accelerate adoption and unlock growth opportunities. Partner with regional teams and global pricing to develop pricing frameworks aligned with new propositions.
- Marketing & Positioning: Drive market awareness through direct client engagement, industry conferences, and targeted marketing campaigns in collaboration with regional and global marketing teams.
- Client & market engagement: Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to validate propositions, gather insights, and co-create solutions. Work closely with clients and regional stakeholders to define a framework for communicating value being delivered from existing solutions to engage clients and grow the revenue from existing clients.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. This role is set up as an iC (individual contributor)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in product management, strategy, or solution development within financial services or payments.
- Deep knowledge of card payments, including tokenization, authentication, and authorization. Familiarity with fraud management is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in go-to-market strategy and commercial modeling.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize market, regulatory, and client insights.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders, including technology, data science, legal, marketing, and compliance teams.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging clients, partners, and senior leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver results, and adapt to evolving business needs.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 217,200.00 to 348,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
