Data Center Critical Infrastructure Operations designs, operates, and maintains highly reliable data center infrastructure to support Visa’s global processing needs, with a focus on maximum availability, operational excellence, and cost efficiency
We are seeking a Senior Data Center Facilities Engineer to join Visa’s Data Center Critical Infrastructure Operations team. In this role you will be responsible for:
Routine Equipment Maintenance
- Collaborate with vendors to support preventive maintenance activities, including tasks such as equipment testing, cleaning, and inspection.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance tasks are executed according to established schedules and guidelines to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Monitoring and Alert Response
- Monitor data center environmental conditions and infrastructure health—including temperature, humidity, power, and equipment status—using monitoring tools, dashboards, and daily site walkthroughs.
- Respond promptly to alarms and alerts by following established procedures to investigate, remediate, or escalate issues as needed.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve incidents, assist with root cause analysis, and document findings and resolutions.
- Provide operational support during critical incidents and participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24×7 coverage
Inventory Management and Documentation
- Assist in managing inventory levels, tracking stock levels, and initiating procurement of replacement parts or equipment when required.
- Contribute to the maintenance of comprehensive documentation on equipment configurations for future reference.
Adherence to Compliance and Safety
- Strictly adhere to established data center procedures and guidelines to maintain compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and safety regulations.
- Promote a safety-conscious culture, emphasizing proper equipment handling and safety procedures within the data center.
Incident Response
- Document incidents comprehensively, analyzing root causes and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders during and after incidents to provide updates and assurance.
This is an on-site position. An on-site position must be consistently performed at an assigned Visa office location and require daily commute to the office location.
This role is a Night shift work schedule from 7:00PM - 7:00AM

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience. Masters graduates must have 2+ years of relevant work experience to qualify.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- High school diploma or equivalent technical certifications or coursework related to data center operations are a plus
- Relevant industry experience with mechanical, electrical systems, and controls, etc. Ability to quickly learn such systems, utilizing operations manuals and similar documentation.
- Vast knowledge in SAML, LDAP, APIs, SNMP, BMS, & IP Networks
- Worked with ITIL, key controls, and SNOW CMDB
- Key components of Foreseer
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
- Ability to become proficient in other software.
- Demonstrated desire to continuously learn.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to maintain a strong focus on attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 89,200.00 to 138,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
