Commercial Finance Manager 

As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in driving profitable growth by partnering with senior leaders to shape and execute commercial strategy. You will lead the finance workstream for Asia and Emerging Markets Go-to-Market planning and execution, translating strategic priorities into clear financial plans, performance insights, and decision-ready recommendations.

This is a highly visible role that blends strategic planning with rigorous financial governance. You will own core planning and forecasting cycles, lead the finance narrative for business reviews, and collaborate effectively across a matrix organization with stakeholders in the APAC region and beyond.

This role will be based in Sydney.

About the Role  

In this opportunity as Commercial Finance Manager, you will:  

  • Strategic business partnering: Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver commercial outcomes, providing financial insight and decision support and influence commercial priorities through scenario analysis, investment cases, and performance tracking
  • GTM planning and execution: Lead and own the financial component of AEM GTM planning, ensuring alignment between commercial strategy, operating plans, and financial targets
  • Planning, forecasting, and performance management: Own the annual operating plan, including budgeting, target setting, and cross-functional alignment and lead quarterly forecasting cycles, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery
  • Business reviews and executive reporting: Serve as the finance lead for monthly and quarterly business reviews, including preparation of materials, storytelling, and executive-ready commentary and maintain reporting cadence and dashboards to support performance management and stakeholder visibility
  • Cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration: Work effectively with cross-cultural teams across APAC in a matrix environment by building strong relationships across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure consistent assumptions and alignment  

About You 

You’re a fit for the role of Commercial Finance Manager if you have the following required qualifications:  

  • 10+ years’ experience as a finance manager within a complex matrix organization and experience working with cross-cultural teams in the APAC region 
  • 5+ years' in people management for teams across the APAC region required
  • Demonstrated experience in annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
  • Strong capabilities in financial analysis and management reporting, including variance analysis and executive-level insights
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and OLAP tools (e.g., planning/reporting cubes, multidimensional analysis) and familiarity with GSI
  • Extensive business partnering skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes through collaboration
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge and ability to apply accounting principles to commercial decision-making and reporting integrity
