The Data/Information Management, Senior Manager (Vice President) accomplishes strategic outcomes through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). He/She embeds deep subject matter and Banking industry expertise within Operations' Business Intelligence (BI) coupled with AI-led decision intelligence.
The VP owns strategic client relationships and value delivery for Operations BI engagements — translating business outcomes into analytics, BI, and AI solutions that improve cost, control, CX, and decision-making across Citi’s Personal Banking Operational functions.
Requires in-depth understanding of how operational functions collectively integrate and contribute to the objectives of Citi. Commercial awareness is an added advantage. Proficient exec-level communication, change management and diplomacy skills are 'must-haves' in this role to guide, influence and convince key business partners / stakeholders. The candidate will have responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. Full management responsibility of a team lies with him/her, too, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approvals as well.
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the Operations' BI life cycle and embed AI-led intelligence across various data activities, which include database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineering, leading into intelligent visualization & insights generation
- Functional Clients’ relationships and shaping of Operations BI vision aligned to client priorities
- Day-to-day focus: co-creation of end-to-end BI solutions across:
- Data ingestion & quality
- Semantic layers
- Dashboards & insights
- Advanced analytics / GenAI overlays
- Provide executive oversight across BI delivery programs / outputs
- Supervision of day-to-day work of junior employees
- Lead cross-functional teams: BI, data engineering, AI, domain SMEs
- Coach analysts, developers to embrace Operations’ business outcomes
- Influence and collaborate with tech, platform groups for accelerated roadmaps
- Day-to-day focus: co-creation of end-to-end BI solutions across:
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- ~15 years of experience
- In-depth understanding of the Banking Ops / Credit, Collections & Recovery functions
- Overarching knowledge of Consumer Financial Services regulatory environment
- Track record of developing analytics / data science-led innovative, intelligent solutions
- Experience in developing, managing, and implementing big-ticket analytical projects in the banking / financial services domain
- Experience developing and implementing AI-led analytical strategies in banking / financial services domain
- Expert knowledge of advanced statistical techniques & AI tools
Education:
- Bachelors (BTech) / University degree, Masters’ degree preferred
