The Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) team is looking for an individual to play a key role supporting the scalability and specialization of our EMF practice –Enablers (Acquirers and Processors), Merchants and Fintechs– with focus on Enablers. This is an individual contributor position.
The potential candidate will be responsible for spurring VCA EMF footprint and developing and implementing high-impact consulting projects for acquirers and processors in the LAC region, while proactively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders on advisory opportunities concerning these clients.
Specific responsibilities include:
Act as a trusted advisor, leading consulting projects and identifying opportunities for acquirers and processors.
Address acquirers and processors pain points and deliver actionable plans to drive their growth and engagement.
Analyze internal and external data, including large datasets, to support decision-making and strategy for these clients.
Generate insights and recommendations to improve performance and profitability of acquirers and processors.
Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and best practices that address the most impactful opportunities and challenges, applicable across VCA in LAC.
Collaborate with Visa/VCA teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources.
Demonstrate leadership and manage multiple projects.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- 10 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 8 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA) or 2 or more years of experience with a PhD.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of merchant acquiring operations and payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, merchant portfolio management with direct experience in merchant acquirers, payfacs or processors, ideally in several key payments business areas, such as business planning, portfolio management, product management, operations and risk management.
- Ideal candidate will have consulting experience, with a track record of success in acquirers or processors.
- Excellent client relationship management skills and ability to develop a credible point of view on a variety of industry topics, acting as a trusted advisor, especially for acquirers and processors clients.
- Problem-solving, strong analytical and attention to detail skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor. Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- Experience using financial indicators to measure business performance with a significant focus on impacting return on investment.
- Technology mindset, digitally curious, up-to-date with digital and technology literature.
- Passionate, self-motivated, result-oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and presentations skills, written and verbal skills, and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership, managerial and collaboration capabilities.
- Knowledge of operations and challenges in merchants such as airlines, retailers or ecommerce platforms, is a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken/written). Portuguese is a plus.
