Skills and Competencies 

  • Strong foundational knowledge of accounting, statistics, and financial statement analysis gained through coursework or self-study
  • Ability to build and maintain charts, spreadsheets, peer comparisons, and analytical outputs with high attention to detail'
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software to produce clear, accurate analytical materials
  • Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-changing environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with professionalism when collaborating across team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to learn quickly, follow established guidelines, and apply basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve issues
  • Positive attitude and teamwork mindset, with the ability to work effectively with trainees, associates, and analysis.
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency, interest in exploring AI systems and willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices including risk management and ethical use 

 Education 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in economics, finance, accounting, engineering, statistics, actuarial science, or a closely related business discipline
  • Ideally at least one year from graduation, with graduation no earlier than October 2026 

Responsibilities 

Support credit analysts by preparing financial and operational analysis, research, and presentations for ratings and internal assessments 

  •  Prepare initial analytical inputs such as charts, spreadsheets, peer comparisons, operational data, and rating data to support day-to-day credit analysis
  • Review financial documents and build or update financial models and forecasts, providing structured inputs for more senior analysts
  • Produce analytical summaries of quantitative and qualitative information to support research, presentations, and investor outreach materials
  • Perform operational tasks related to portfolio reviews and other credit projects, tracking progress and maintaining organized documentation
  • Monitor issuer and industry developments by following market news and issuer reporting, and support follow-up requests for clarification and information
  • Develop working knowledge of credit fundamentals through exposure to transaction documentation, cash flow analysis concepts, and loss allocation approaches
  • Participate in meetings and contribute analysis where appropriate, including preparing internal credit assessments used to evaluate elements of credit risk in certain transactions
  • Work under close supervision with frequent quality checks by associates, demonstrating growing independence in managing workflow and prioritizing competing tasks
  • Do not handle material non-public information and do not attend rating committees for mandated ratings, while supporting internal credit assessments and internal monitor rating committees as assigned

Our team is responsible for providing analytical outputs to better cater the Mexican domestic market. By joining our team, you will contribute to impactful analysis and learn credit fundamentals through hands-on work with associates and analysts across corporate finance, RLGs and financial institutions coverage. You will also be part of a team that values continuous improvement and explores practical, responsible use of AI-enabled tools to increase efficiency and consistency in everyday analytical processes
