Introduction to the team

We are hiring a technical, data-driven and customer-obsessed Product Manager III to own the roadmap for Brand Expedia’s checkout, with a focus on Packages (e.g., Flight + Hotel), Cars, and Activities product lines. The Checkout team owns one of the most critical steps in the user journey, shaping how millions of travelers can book their trips with speed, confidence, and delight.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on driving business growth, funnel and platform performance, and regulatory compliance in a complex, cross-functional environment.

What you’ll do

  • Define product strategy and maintain roadmap for complex product areas, aligning with customer needs, data-driven insights, and Expedia Group’s business goals across multiple domains

  • Translate business and traveler problems into crisp product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering and design can execute against

  • Collaborate across teams and functions to drive end-to-end product delivery. Manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to ensure timely, high-quality launches

  • Run agile rituals (backlog grooming, sprint planning, bug triage) to keep your team unblocked and focused on the highest impact work day-to-day

  • Use qualitative and quantitative data, and A/B testing to prioritize features, measure product performance, and drive continuous improvements at scale

  • Own key checkout funnel metrics (e.g., conversion, form completion, error rates). Define targets and drive concrete plans to hit them; course correct as needed

  • Collaborate closely with Legal/Risk teams to deliver regulatory and policy requirements accurately and on time, without compromising traveler experience

  • Safely integrate and operate AI/ML enabled solutions that improve outcomes, ensuring responsible use of data, monitoring performance, and iterating on features based on measurable impact

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years for Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years for Master’s in a technical, business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience in product management

  • Proven experience owning a product or a significant product area end to end, including roadmap development, stakeholder communication, and launch execution

  • Demonstrated ability to work with engineering, data, and design teams to define technical requirements, understand system and API capabilities, and deliver scalable, reliable products

  • Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, including using data and experimentation to guide product decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption, including discovery, implementation, launch, and post-launch analytics and optimizations.

  • Experience leading product strategy and execution for products operating at significant scale, using experimentation frameworks, metrics, and dashboards to drive performance

  • Experience in online travel, e-commerce, payments, checkout, or transaction experiences

  • Proven ability to define and evolve product architectures and platform capabilities in partnership with engineering, ensuring products are extensible, secure, and performant across multiple domains

  • Track record of driving operational excellence for products, including defining SLAs, improving reliability and quality, and using data-driven insights to optimize processes and user experiences

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
