We are building a new team focused on reinventing how users search in our product. You'll be part of a team working on high-scale systems, building reliable, cloud-native backend services that power search functionality used in the justice system.As a Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of distributed systems and backend services. You'll work with modern technologies in a supportive, collaborative environment, with opportunities to learn and grow your skills in scalable system development.
This is a great role for engineers who are passionate about backend development, want to work with large datasets, and enjoy solving real-world problems through clean, maintainable code.
Job Description and Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
Architect and designs performant, scalable, and secure software to a high degree of quality – not simply focusing on meeting requirements
Work hand in hand product team to design new search solutions, think about migrations and stress test current ideas
Build systems in the search domain – that are integrated with LLMs, are secure and performant while serving the use needs.
Be pragmatic – in using object oriented principles, applying SOLID principles and design patterns a in Javascript, and TypeScript to drive value for our users
Contribute and provide technical guidance to a software development team to ship high-quality, performant, secure software that operates on data at a massive scale
Conduct comprehensive unit, integration and e2e testing and static analysis and rigorous test strategy development
Improve the software development process by recommending and instituting changes in procedures
Provide technical guidance to team members through education and coaching of best practice
Participates in regular on-call rotations
Embrace and contribute to a learning/growth culture and promote a healthy work environment
Your Skills:
Very good knowledge of vanilia JavaScript, but also able to choose the right tool/framework for a specific task
Experience with Aurelia, React or Angular.
Ideal experience working with SaaS products in B2B.
Ability to find good solutions to user requirements.
Use data to inform their decisions.
Have a continuous learning mindset and update their knowledge but are not hype-driven.
Understand issues related to code structuring on the frontend - what causes technical debt, what is very painful, and what costs little.
Understand how observability works on the frontend, performance assessment, and also create code that complies with accessibility standards.
Experience with CI/CD

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.
The expected salary range for this role is between following values:
208 000 and 312 000PLNThe final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
