The Senior Relationship Manager is a senior-level coverage position responsible for assisting multinational clients in overall relationship management across products including Services, Markets, Capital Markets and M&A and other types of financial transactions in coordination with global Corporate Bank and product partner teams. The Senior Relationship Manager is also expected to oversee and lead a key group of portfolio owning bankers. The overall objective of this role is to act as strategic and trusted advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and expand a portfolio of accounts with varying/complex financial needs in order to grow revenue and establish credit quality in line with credit standards, policies and processes set by the organization
- Identify and develop solutions for customer needs, such as financing, streamlining of cash management operations, foreign currency solutions, etc.
- Cross-sell banking products, including cash management, trade finance, trade services, structured trade products, foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income, loans (including syndicated, bilateral) and capital market products
- Drive one-off transactions
- Responsible for all credit aspects of the relationship including annual reviews, early problem recognition and remedial management
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi Handlowy and Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
- At least 10+ years of relevant client coverage experience
- Experience in corporate banking, knowledge of Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS), Markets and Capital Markets Origination (CMO) products
- Demonstrated knowledge of credit analytics, financial modelling and accounting
- Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment and valuation
- Proven ability to think strategically and creatively to identify trends and provide strategic insight
- Proven analytical and interpersonal skills
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to exercise judgment, prioritize tasks and work on multiple engagements
- Ability to be client-focused
- Demonstrated leadership ability in management, delegation, quality control, and fostering a culture of collaboration - team management and people leadership experience will be an asset
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
