Thomson Reuters are looking for a consultant to join our Professional Services team on a 5-month contract. Supporting our ONESOURCE product, this is an ideal opportunity for a tax consultant who's redy to build on their technical tax foundation while expanding your experience into technology-enabled transformation.
You will be a trusted subject matter expert in our tax software suite, partnering with clients to deliver successful implementations and drive lasting adoption. You'll work with a diverse portfolio, including ASX100 and multinational corporates, helping them modernize and streamline their tax processes.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Professional Services Consultant – 5-month contract; you will:
Deliver end-to-end implementations of our tax software products—providing expert guidance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring successful adoption
Act as the technical subject matter expert, advising clients on best-practice use of the platform and solving real-world challenges
Provide time-bound, out-of-hours support to Trusts customers over a six-week period, as required to meet key project deliverables.
Provide on-site support as needed for implementation activities, including delivery of workshops, participation in key project milestones/checkpoints, and post-go-live hypercare.
Support sales enablement and solution scoping, articulating the value of our products and services to both prospective and existing customers
Strengthen client retention and relationships by supporting Client Relationship Managers as the technical expert in customer conversations
Produce high-quality implementation reports, guides, training manuals, and supporting documentation
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Professional Services Consultant – 5-month contract if you have the following required qualifications:
2+ years' experience in Australian tax
Knowledge of tax effect accounting and how it's applied in practice
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a solutions-first mindset
The ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical advice
Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills (written and verbal)
A collaborative approach and confidence working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
