Responsibilities
The GBD (Global Business Director) serves as a strategic enterprise relationship leader responsible for aligning Moody’s capabilities to the medium‑ and long‑term needs of major global customers. This role builds and executes the global account strategy while driving financial, strategic, and operational outcomes for both Moody’s and the customer. Acting as the ultimate voice of the customer internally, the GBD leads cross‑functional virtual teams, brokers complex enterprise‑level deals, and anticipates emerging trends impacting customer strategy.
A position is available to manage customers within the Insurance industry — a major opportunity to scale Moody’s enterprise engagement. This role will identify, develop, and execute opportunities across the Insurance ecosystem by partnering deeply across Moody’s and with senior customer stakeholders.
Customer: Manage and build book of business to maximize impact
  • Drive strategic engagement and commercial relationships within key Insurance customers
  • Identify, negotiate, and deliver opportunities benefiting both the customer and Moody’s
  • Deliver enterprise‑wide propositions aligned with customer strategic needs
  • Establish and deepen C‑suite engagement; bring external networks and insights into Moody’s
  • Identify new opportunities through strategic projects and expand propositions across customers
  • Build deep understanding of customer business and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Advocate for customer needs internally and serve as Moody’s ambassador externally
  • Build, deliver, and manage the strategic account plan; forecast and report key indicators
  • Prioritize emerging accounts and adjust focus across targets as needed
Moody’s: Lead virtual global team to deliver against customer requirements
  • Act as the most senior relationship leader and primary escalation point for customer engagement
  • Understand—and connect—the full scope of business Moody’s conducts across the enterprise
  • Build, lead, and influence global virtual account teams to ensure delivery against customer needs
  • Ensure Moody’s executives and stakeholders understand and act on customer requirements
  • Mentor, develop, and identify future enterprise sales and relationship‑management talent
  • Partner with Moody’s C‑Level Executive Sponsors for each account
Marketplace: Enable the customer to stay ahead
  • Leverage deep Insurance market insights to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic implications
  • Provide agnostic, forward‑looking advice — not solely tied to selling Moody’s products
  • Share market feedback and customer requirements with OU and CPO leadership
