The Data/Information Mgt Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
This function covers incumbents responsible for various data activities, which include database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineering
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights through automated reporting solutions.
Interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and provide insights to stakeholders to support informed and strategic decision-making.
Design and build interactive dashboards in Tableau for senior leadership and regulatory reporting.
Build and implement an automated reporting control framework to ensure accuracy across the entire reporting life cycle.
Collaborate with Data Engineering and IT teams to leverage data lakes and enterprise data platforms.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.
Support ad-hoc analysis and audits with quick turnaround and attention to data integrity.
Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems
Use some independence of thought but to refer more complex problems to supervisors or other experts
Contribute to work flow or process change and redesign, and to form a basic understanding of the specific product or process
Accountable for regular reporting or process administration as owner
May direct day-to-day work of junior level employees, but will not typically have formal management role
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
Experience in consulting/Banking focused on Insight generation
Proficiency in SAS
8+ years of experience in MIS reporting, data analytics, or BI teams in the Banking/Financial Services.
Advanced skills in Python and PySpark, particularly in big data environments (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Databricks).
Expertise in Tableau for dashboard design, develop and data storytelling.
Experience in managing team of data analysts
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Education:
Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
