Job Overview
The Citi Integrated Digital Assets Platform (CIDAP) Head of Solutions must be a highly motivated and proactive hands-on technology expert and leader, have a proven ability and experience working with web applications and blockchain in production. The successful candidate will be part of the core team continuing to lead our Citi Integrated Digital Assets Platform (CIDAP). The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, proactive, strong enterprise team leader and resourceful team player who can comfortably work with a large team of highly motivated individuals within Citi’s larger software engineering network.
This is a dynamic leadership role in the global organization requiring the individual to display a very good understanding of Digital Assets, Client needs, perform continuous market scans and work across multiple product, risk and compliance groups and geographies to deliver solutions that serve clients digital asset needs and help create the network of the future. Experience and knowledge of web3 application development is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be handling the following (but not limited to) responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the platform vision, strategy, and roadmap for Citi's digital asset platform, including tokenization, digital assets custody, and on-chain services.
- Product Development: Lead a multidisciplinary team of product managers, designers, and strategists to deliver innovative, institutional-grade solutions from concept to launch.
- Team Building & Management: Build and mentor a high-performing team in Tel Aviv, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and execution excellence.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with partners across Citi's business lines, including Services, Markets Securities Services, Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS), and Wealth to ensure platform alignment and drive adoption.
- Ecosystem Engagement: Serve as a key representative for Citi DA Platform Citi in the Israeli and global digital asset ecosystem. Build and maintain relationships with FinTech partners, technology vendors, regulators, and clients.
- Risk & Control: Ensure all products and services are designed and operated within Citi's risk and control framework and comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements globally.
- Market Intelligence: Stay at the forefront of market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the digital asset space to inform product strategy and identify new opportunities.
Qualifications/ Experience
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services, capital markets, or a related technology field.
- Digital Asset Expertise: At least 5-7 years of direct, hands-on experience in the digital assets, DLT, or blockchain technology space, with a deep understanding of tokenization, smart contracts, digital custody, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and scaling product management or technology teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, and translate a vision into a concrete and actionable product roadmap.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of the technical underpinnings of blockchain technology and financial software development.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to senior executives and clients.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with web3 libraries like Web3J and Web3JS is a plus
- Familiarity with common and best practices for web3 applications is a plus
- Familiarity of Solidity code and best practices is a plus
- Familiarity of basics of DevOps and containerize applications is a plus
- Familiarity of Agile Methodology and Scrum is a plus
Competencies/ Skills
- Strong team player with ability to communicate to technical / non-technical stakeholders at all levels and a start-up mindset.
- Proven history of delivering high-quality, increasingly complex, commercial software products.
- Strong engineering fundamentals (testing, code reviews, code structure, readable and maintainable code).
- Hands-on development experience as a full stack developer is a plus
