Role Overview
The Senior Associate Technical Specialist is a technical sales professional responsible for driving the adoption and expansion of Autodesk’s core and mature solutions across Large, Midmarket, and Territory customers. This role operates within a hybrid engagement model, supporting both Autodesk-led and Partner-led sales motions.
This position emphasises scale, prioritisation, repeatability, and enablement. The Senior Associate independently executes defined technical presales engagements, applies proven solution patterns across multiple customers, and contributes to accelerating the pipeline through efficient, high-quality technical knowledge. Success is measured by consistent execution, strong prioritisation, and the ability to deliver reliable technical outcomes across many concurrent opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Advising & Discovery
• Independently lead standard customer discovery sessions and capture actionable requirements
• Translate customer needs into reusable technical requirements aligned to established solution patterns
Demonstrations & Technical Storytelling
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned to common customer workflows and value drivers
• Address basic objections related to solution fit, configuration, and capabilities
Solution Design, Validation & Risk Mitigation
• Identify risks such as integration constraints or data dependencies and escalate as appropriate
• Support solution validation and document outcomes using established processes
Commercial & Enablement Support
• Contribute technical inputs to proposals and expansion discussions
• Support onboarding and enablement of peers and partners through reusable assets and demo materials
Required Qualifications
• Industry experience in Plant Design, P&ID, Catalog customisation, Specification creation
• 2–4 years of experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, solutions consulting, or customer-facing technical role is desirable
• Working knowledge of software or technology solutions in Plant3D and Revit MEP
• Experience conducting structured customer discovery and delivering product demonstrations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer value
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities with effective prioritisation
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting channel or partner led sales motions
• Familiarity with Autodesk solutions, workflows, or adjacent design, engineering, or construction domains
• Experience contributing to proposals, renewals, or expansion conversations
• Comfort creating reusable demo assets, documentation, or enablement materials
• Exposure to large or midmarket customer environments
