Role Overview/What will you do:
- Java development as part of an AI-first, focused team of engineers working on cross-border payments modernization
- The successful candidate will work with teams across FX Technology to support the implementation of solutions that benefit the business
- The role does not involve budget responsibility
- The successful candidate will work with teams across FX Technology and Payments to define and then implement solutions
- Develop against an evolving system architecture using an AI First approach, working with end-users of the systems, and enhancing the quality of deliverables
- Follow best practices and processes for the department and support transparency and consistency within immediate team and the wider FX team
Key Skills and Experience required
- Prior experience working in a team that has contact with sales or trading business teams is required.
- Demonstrable understanding of FX products is preferred.
- Proven track record of developing aspects of new systems, migrating legacy systems and renovating existing systems
- The candidate will have a strong systems (software, hardware, networks) knowledge required to define solutions and trouble shoot issues
- Exceptional communicator who loves working with people, confident communicating with immediate team and stakeholders
- Hands on engineer, confident to deep dive into a product and codebase and offer detailed, constructive analysis and feedback
- Experience in collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams
