Moving mountains together – as Bench Scientist II / Senior Bench Scientist I – Mass Spectrometry & Characterization of Therapeutic Proteins (all genders)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Scientist II:

• Assist in designing and performing mass spectrometric experiments.
• Support project teams with key analytical data.
• Learn from experienced scientists and gradually take ownership of experiments.
• Participate in scientific discussions and team collaborations.

Senior Scientist I:

• Independently design, execute, and interpret complex MS experiments.
• Share advanced analytical insights in local and global meetings
• Mentor colleagues and serve as a key resource for technical expertise.
• Drive publications, patents, and presentations.
• Maintain and optimize high-resolution MS instruments (QTOF, Orbitrap).

Scientist II:

• Bachelor’s + 7 years’ experience or master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy or related field+ 5 years’ experience.
• Some hands-on exposure to mass spectrometry in academia or industry.
• Eagerness to learn advanced instrumentation (QTOF, Orbitrap).
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to grow.
• Communication skills in English (German is a plus).

Senior Scientist I:

• Master’s degree + 8 years’ experience, Bachelor’s + 10 years’ experience, or PhD and no (some) experience necessary.
• Proven proficiency in mass spectrometry and protein characterization techniques.
• Experience in monoclonal antibody work (peptide mapping, intact mass analysis).
• Additional skills in SEC, IEX, HIC, CE, CD, DSC are beneficial.
• Excellent communication in English and German.
