Moving mountains together – as Bench Scientist II / Senior Bench Scientist I – Mass Spectrometry & Characterization of Therapeutic Proteins (all genders)
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Scientist II:
- Assist in designing and performing mass spectrometric experiments.
- Support project teams with key analytical data.
- Learn from experienced scientists and gradually take ownership of experiments.
- Participate in scientific discussions and team collaborations.
Senior Scientist I:
- Independently design, execute, and interpret complex MS experiments.
- Share advanced analytical insights in local and global meetings
- Mentor colleagues and serve as a key resource for technical expertise.
- Drive publications, patents, and presentations.
- Maintain and optimize high-resolution MS instruments (QTOF, Orbitrap).
Scientist II:
- Bachelor’s + 7 years’ experience or master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy or related field+ 5 years’ experience.
- Some hands-on exposure to mass spectrometry in academia or industry.
- Eagerness to learn advanced instrumentation (QTOF, Orbitrap).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to grow.
- Communication skills in English (German is a plus).
Senior Scientist I:
- Master’s degree + 8 years’ experience, Bachelor’s + 10 years’ experience, or PhD and no (some) experience necessary.
- Proven proficiency in mass spectrometry and protein characterization techniques.
- Experience in monoclonal antibody work (peptide mapping, intact mass analysis).
- Additional skills in SEC, IEX, HIC, CE, CD, DSC are beneficial.
- Excellent communication in English and German.
