Technical Program Manager III

The Distribution and Supply team is seeking a Technical Program Manager III. We own Pricing, Inventory, Content and Marketplace Trust. We delight our Travelers with great prices for any travel (hotel, vacation rental, air, cars, packages and cruises), and support them to reserve and manage their experience. We own the unified technical systems that perform these functions, and handle trillions of events that deliver this value at Expedia’s global scale. Our team is responsible for ensuring that Expedia's global supply of travel products, including hotels, flights, cars, and activities, is distributed efficiently and reliably to millions of customers. We manage and optimize the infrastructure that powers the connections between Expedia and its vast network of suppliers, enabling seamless travel experiences for our customers worldwide.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and drive complex technical programs from inception through execution, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, and business teams.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to improve and scale the distribution and supply platform, collaborating closely with stakeholders to define program goals, timelines, and success metrics.

  • Shape program roadmaps by translating high-level business requirements into actionable technical plans, continuously refining and adapting strategies as needed.

  • Identify and manage risks, proactively troubleshooting and addressing issues to ensure on-time delivery and continuous system reliability.

  • Champion operational excellence by driving process improvements, innovation, and best practices that optimize the overall program lifecycle.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior TPMs and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects, particularly in cloud-based or data-intensive systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and managing project timelines, risks, and dependencies in a dynamic and evolving environment.

  • Customer-focused and passionate about delivering high-quality solutions that enhance the user experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership skills, capable of driving alignment across multiple teams, managing competing priorities, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

  • Exceptional communication abilities, able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of delivering scalable solutions and resolving issues in fast-paced environments.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
