As an AI Engineer in our SIMULIA CST R&D team, you will be at the heart of something genuinely new - building an AI-driven framework that lets engineers control and shape PCB layouts through natural language. Your work will directly influence how engineers interact with cutting-edge EDA tools, making complex design processes more intuitive and accessible for everyone.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare Python scripts for PCB layout tasks that form the backbone of our AI-driven workflows.
• Create smart descriptions and metadata for each example, so our RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) system can find exactly the right solution at the right time.
• Design and implement processes that seamlessly blend natural language input with retrieved examples, feeding them into LLMs via thoughtful prompt templates.
• Automate the execution of LLM outputs as Python scripts, bringing PCB layout automation to life.
• Work closely with a collaborative R&D team to shape the AI framework and its GUI integration - your ideas and perspective will genuinely matter here.

Qualifications:

• Solid Python programming skills.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG, and Prompt Engineering.
• Curiosity, creativity, and the drive to make technology work better for people.
• As a plus: An interest or passion for electronics design, PCB, or IC development - but if you are eager to learn, we will help you get there.
