Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify data anomalies, inefficiencies, and drive cross‑functional consensus
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and mapping, along with experience using ETL tools, Alteryx/Databricks for automation, and Power BI for dashboards and reporting - Ability to create and maintain SOPs, data dictionaries, and data mappings for regulatory reporting processes with subject‑matter expertise in regulatory reporting
- Experience monitoring and improving data accuracy, consistency, compliance, and resolving operational data issues
- 3–5 years of experience in data governance, data management, and data modeling, with familiarity in DBeaver, pgAdmin, Microsoft Access, and Collibra
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA, macros, VLookups), SQL, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience in JIRA and Agile methodologies (preferred)
- Self‑motivated, organized team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
- Graduate BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required
- Certifications in Data Governance (preferred)
- SQL Certification (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle SQL, or Google Data Analytics)
- Alteryx Designer Core or Advanced Certification
- Databricks Certifications preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain data accuracy, completeness, and lineage across regulatory reporting data assets while identifying data quality issues, patterns, and anomalies
- Facilitate collaboration with Report Owners, Technology teams, and cross‑functional partners (including ODC, Compliance, Government and Public Affairs, Legal, MIT, etc.) to ensure high‑quality regulatory report data and automate validation tasks
- Manage data quality issues operationally by conducting root‑cause/deep‑dive analyses and partnering with data providers to remediate defects
- Identify areas for data quality improvement and support resolution through appropriate error detection, correction, process controls, and process design or redesign strategies
- Perform data mining, data cleansing, reconciliation, and data maintenance activities with stakeholders for the regulatory reporting function
- Develop and apply subject‑matter expertise on regulatory reporting assets, policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Conduct data lifecycle analysis including data profiling, requirements gathering and documentation, data mappings, process and data design flows, data quality controls input, creation of automated business rules, and testing assistance
- Participate in defining data concepts and common reference data while establishing sound data usage practices across relevant partners
- Ensure data quality and fitness‑for‑purpose of the organization’s regulatory reporting data assets, including working with Technology teams to store the metadata for those data assets
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), update and manage data dictionaries and other related data in Collibra, and ensure adherence to data governance standards
- Define, document, and manage business and data requirements and data mappings, collaborating cross‑vertically and globally with key stakeholders to support MIS’ strategy and activities

By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in Ratings & Operations Regulatory Reporting in Bengaluru, where we are increasingly leveraging AI‑enabled tools and responsible automation practices to enhance data quality, streamline validation workflows, and support continuous improvement across regulatory reporting functions. As part of the Global Ratings Operations & Controls (ROC) organization, our teams collaborate across business units that continue to adopt AI‑powered solutions to improve operational efficiency and strengthen governance.
