Title: Analyst
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007
Duties: Monitor a portfolio of North America project finance and infrastructure issuers, covering a range of infrastructure classes, including power, renewables, energy transportation, generation and transmission coops, municipal power and transportation assets such as toll road and airports. Maintain a high degree of rating accuracy of assigned infrastructure and project finance portfolio. Conduct initial and on-going credit analysis on a dedicated portfolio of issuers including principally municipal infrastructure entities, as well as project finance entities. Recommend ratings for new transactions for a variety of issuers and security types. Review and assess the credit considerations of complex commercial contractual arrangements as well as legal documents which serve as the basis for most Project Finance transactions and asset transactions with demand risk and contractual risk models. Perform and present in-depth fundamental credit analysis on a regular basis to rating committees and other internal analytical meetings to assign and maintain credit ratings, including financial modeling, legal documentation review, cash flow analysis, industry review. Manage assigned issuer relationships with a high level of professionalism and engagement, including relationships with intermediaries. Research and write for publications and execute presentations on credit trends, opinions and topical issues in the Infrastructure and Energy space. Maintain relationships with high-profile issuer clients, investors and intermediaries, with frequent interaction with investors and intermediaries. Collaborate with other Moody’s project finance and infrastructure team globally, including Latin America.
Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field plus three (3) years of experience as a Credit Analyst or in a related position performing credit and ratings analysis in a financial services firm or investment bank. Must have experience with the following: applying knowledge of rating process and services, analyst workflow; reviewing quantitative and qualitative assessments of financial statements and economic/market data; reviewing research produced on specific issuers, general credit trends, or sector related issues; providing analytical oversight, including documenting and implementing workflow processes and conducting quality checks; performing project management; and conducting quantitative financial modeling and statistical analysis. Domestic and international travel required approximately 10-15% of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $179,088 to $196,750/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
