Senior Manager, Physical Security (APAC)

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.

The Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) organization is the driving force behind the environment and experience of all our cool offices around the world.

We're seeking a highly motivated, collaborative and innovative individual to lead Physical Security for the Region within Global Workplace Solutions. This isn't just a management position; it's an opportunity to be a critical part of the GWS Regional Leadership Team.

As Physical Security Regional Lead you will handle the regional execution and implementation of Expedia Group security services, programs, initiatives, processes, and standard methodologies through coordination with partner groups for protecting Expedia Group assets.

You will develop, design, oversee, and extend corporate security programs across the region, including identifying industry best practices, conducting threat and vulnerability analysis, presenting mitigation strategies, developing and managing budgets, creating and publishing security policies and procedures, qualifying and onboarding vendors, and leading the deployment and operation of physical security technologies and programs.

You will build and use strong cross-functional partnerships across Expedia Group by driving close engagement on short and long-term planning, in region forecasting, and incident management with human resources, IT, legal and other key partners for protecting Expedia Group.

You will ensure that Expedia Group offices are fully compliant with Expedia or local regulations by conducting regular audits of the vendors on site, identifying risks and gaps. You should be able to conduct regular compliance training and ensure vendor maintain proper operational documents required for checks by local authorities. You will be the point of contact with local authorities for these checks.

You will lead the development of security response plans in preparation for crisis events as well as own security responsibility for actively running internal and external communications during local, regional or global incidents.

This role will be based in , reports to the GWS Regional Lead, and will be a member of the GWS Regional Leadership Team. As this role requires interfacing with regional teams, there may be early morning and late-night meetings to accommodate different time zones.

In this role, you will:

• Generate and implement strategy for handling physical security across the region
• Develop and maintain organizational metrics, capacity, and workflow for security within region
• Craft program plans, budgets and capabilities for regional physical security team
• Manage vendor relations, planning and Service Level Agreements of regional security team
• Ensure adherence to physical security standards and processes, including visitor controls
• Oversee day-to-day security operations (incident mgmt, alarm response, break-fix issues, etc)
• Consult on design, configuration and deployment of office security systems across region
• Implement and lead physical access control processes and equipment maintenance
• Maintain security officer’s staffing requirements across multiple regional sites
• Identify and handle emerging threats, security incidents, and investigations
• Work cross functionally to develop and implement security awareness programs
• Lead efforts to conduct security risk assessments and surveys
• Maintain situational awareness of security related issues across the region
• Conduct security investigations and audits; manage gaps and issues to closure.

• Serve as Expedia Group subject matter expert within the region for physical security

Experience and Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate security (global experience is advantageous)
• Customer focused and results oriented leader with strong influencing skills
• Strong working knowledge and experience with physical security technologies, systems, and components
• Demonstrated working knowledge of incident mgmt., emergency response, crisis mgmt. and business continuity planning
• Demonstrated track record of increasingly relevant leadership responsibilities
• Ability to accurately take decisive action based on available information in a timely manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills
• Team management and vendor management experience
• Demonstrated growth mindset
• Ability to travel within region as needed
