The program launched last year in Africa, and this year expands to China and Taiwan, reflecting Reuters commitment to developing journalistic talent across regions and strengthening coverage from the ground up.

RNAP offers participants the opportunity to deepen their reporting skills, broaden their global perspective, and work alongside Reuters journalists covering stories that shape the world.

The Senior Photographer, Reuters Pictures is a part of the Reuters News Accelerator Program.

Taiwan

Reuters is looking for an experienced and authoritative photographer to lead its pictures coverage in Taiwan as part of the Reuters News Accelerator Program. This role combines on‑the‑ground reporting with editorial leadership, delivering visual journalism of global relevance.

About the Role

As Senior Photographer, you will:

• Lead Reuters Pictures operations in Taiwan, overseeing daily coverage and planning
• Consistently deliver fast, accurate and compelling photography on breaking news
• Use deep local knowledge and trusted networks to secure distinctive visuals
• Manage relationships with stringers and contributors to ensure strong coverage
• Produce visual exclusives and support in‑depth visual storytelling projects
• Work closely with video and text colleagues across the newsroom

About You

As Senior Photographer, you are likely to bring:

• At least five years experience as a professional photojournalist
• A strong record of delivering high‑impact reporting to Reuters standards
• Excellent news judgement and understanding of the global visuals business
• Creativity, technical expertise and sound editorial decision‑making
• Fluency in written and spoken English
