Position Overview
The Visa Privacy Technology and Capabilities Department is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Privacy Technology Specialist. This role is integral to advancing Visa’s commitment to privacy by designing, developing, and supporting technology solutions that safeguard personal data and ensure compliance with global privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in Privacy Technology projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement privacy-enhancing technologies.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that support privacy goals.
- Interface with internal and external clients, as well as stakeholders as a Privacy Technology subject matter expert.
- Design, develop, and maintain database solutions that enable effective privacy management and data protection.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders, clearly communicating complex technical concepts and project updates.
- Produce high-quality written documentation, including technical specifications, project reports, and privacy impact assessments.
- Conduct data analysis to identify privacy risks and opportunities for improvement.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
7 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD
Prior experience working on Privacy Technology projects, with demonstrable impact and results.
Strong understanding of database technologies, including relational and/or big data datastores, and their role in privacy management.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent presentation skills, with experience delivering to diverse audiences.
Good data analysis skills, with proficiency in relevant tools and methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with privacy compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Knowledge of privacy-preserving technologies such as data masking, encryption, and anonymization.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
