- 3–5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, with a focus on credit and risk assessment.
- Solid understanding of credit fundamentals and/or macroeconomic principles, with the ability to apply these concepts through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Relevant analytical experience gained within a financial institution, ratings agency, asset manager, consulting firm, or public accounting environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain analytical conclusions and tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while effectively managing individual responsibilities and deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of assigned research tasks and contribute ideas to analytical discussions.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience building and maintaining financial models is desirable.
- Skilled in processing automation and data analysis to optimize workflows and drive efficiency.
- Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills; exposure to statistical or econometric tools (e.g., EViews) is an advantage.
- Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken, portuguese is a nice to have.
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Progress toward or interest in an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA) is preferred.
- Manage a portfolio of Latin American non-financial corporates rated by Moody’s, with a focus on REITs, industrials, and consumer sectors.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessments of financial statements, economic data, and market trends.
- Analyze legal documents, offering memorandums, and bond indentures.
- Perform initial and ongoing credit analysis, actively monitoring ratings and recommending rating actions as appropriate.
- Lead new-issue rating assignments, including refinancing, M&A, and new transactions, and present well-supported rating rationales to rating committees.
- Produce high-quality research on issuers, credit trends, and sector-specific developments.
- Maintain effective working relationships with issuers and investors, supporting transparent and constructive dialogue.
- Represent the organization through outreach initiatives, conference participation, and issuer meetings, clearly presenting key rating drivers.
- Mentor and develop rating associates, fostering analytical rigor, professional growth, and consistent research quality.
