We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Technical Business Analyst to join our global Internal Audit Technology team. The ideal candidate should have a technical background with experience of managing complex technology projects and interfacing with multiple senior stakeholders across organizations, be a self-driven, dedicated individual who works well in a team and thinks and acts strategically. In addition, the candidate should respond well to change and quickly pick new concepts in an ever-moving regulatory landscape. When faced with a problem, the candidate should be able to ask questions and leverage the skill set of those around him/her.

This is a Business Analysis III position at VP level which is part of the job family responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying needs, and establishing requirements to enhance efficiency and productivity through a blend of business acumen and analytical skills.

What you will bring
The primary responsibility of this individual is to drive strategic, functional, and technical agenda for an integrated Internal Audit platform and act as a BA/PM/SM leveraging technical, analytical, and problem-solving background to help drive the team’s output to success.

What you will do
The candidate must be a senior business analyst with excellent strategic outlook and proven track record of delivering technological solutions which optimally meet customer needs.
12+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst on technology projects, with the ability to lead and manage discussions with technical teams.
Strong background delivering technology initiatives from initiation through implementation, translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.
Experience working with senior stakeholders across both technology and business teams; able to manage expectations, drive alignment, and communicate clearly at all levels.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and document complex technology and business requirements, identify gaps, and propose pragmatic solutions.
System design/solution mindset, with the ability to partner with architects/engineers and manage stakeholders through design decisions and trade-offs.
Proven experience in an Agile/Scrum environment; able to manage multiple responsibilities across Scrum Master, Business Analyst, and Project Manager activities as needed.
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with cross cultural teams located globally.
Willingness to take ownership and accountability to execute and deliver on goals, strong commitment to high quality standards.
Excellent time management skills, ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and team objectives.
Proven ability to take ownership and challenge status-quo, improve process and drive results.
Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, including the ability to facilitate working sessions, manage dependencies, and drive outcomes across teams.
Knowledge of Finance products or previous experience within an Investment Bank is a plus.
Web application experience, including prior involvement in building or enhancing web applications (requirements, design collaboration, testing, and release).
Application build background and relevant domain experience; hands-on familiarity with full-stack concepts (e.g., APIs, data models, SQL, and modern front-end patterns) is a plus.
Nice to have
knowledge of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) concepts, processes, and controls.
Financial services background is a plus.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 150,000 and 210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
