Hi, I decided to take some time off when my second child was born. After 9 years outside the "formal" work environment, 'm finding it difficult to get my resume "out there. I'm a Mechanical Engineer with two Master's Degrees and experience in business consulting, strategic planning and finance, in big corporate environment with international experience. Lately I have been doing some consulting on an hourly bases, but I have found that it is difficult to get a fair payment, basically because of the time I was out. Would you recommend a specific approach to basically sell yourself and show that you have the credentials and the knowledge to do the job? That you can add value to your client and organization?
