I had a whole plan to move to Portugal by August. A few things have happened: - I didn’t get accepted into the grad school I wanted (which is how I would’ve gotten my student visa) - COVID-19 led to a travel ban to Europe (Which has kept me from visiting and following up with potential job leads in Portugal) - I’ve had very little luck applying to remote jobs that I’ve been interested in (which is how I could potentially apply for a second type of visa) - The potential work leads in Portugal mentioned above do not have the funds to sponsor a visa, though we’ve stared a conversation about getting compensated for some one-off contributions here and there. What do you recommend I do moving forward? Should I settle for second choice grad school programs? Just keep trying at remote jobs? What options am I not considering?
