I currently have a Masters in Education and have worked in technical writing, support, and training, including having managerial roles. In those jobs, I did project and product management as well and have my Product Owner/Product Manager certificate. I am wanting to move into engineering. I have taken some coding classes, but could definitely use more learning/experience before making the move. Is it more valuable to get another degree or to take online courses to gain those skills? Also, since my career path has moved all over the place, is it better to only list the relevant jobs on my resume and then explain the gaps in what is listed or to show everything from a certain time frame?
