At the beginning of my career I once approached a Manager about a position I had applied for and was not considered as a candidate. I set up the meeting with her to provide me with feedback. I had 10 years experience with the company and completed my BA. Her response to me (which sticks with me to this day) - "you have a chip on your shoulder". I felt that I was not asking for anything more than any other applicant and had the same experience. I am a reserved person and at that time even a bit shy. It took a lot for me to even approach her about the issue. Ever since then I have been apprehensive. How can I overcome this issue?
