Job Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and leading projects with achieving financial, delivery, and customer satisfaction objectives across all phases of the project. This role will support both production and design and development projects with an emphasis on both short-term and long-term strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manage all phases of the project life cycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects
  • Define and document project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Selects and coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project (f applicable).
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope as well as changes to the project plan and status reports.
  • Tracks and controls schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and budget.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Prepare for, administer and document project meetings
  • Provide direction and support to project team
  • Serve as primary point of contact for external and internal project teams
  • Administers construction contracts and obtains all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Monitors site and / or project safety and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies.
  • Analyze project outcomes to determine future improvements.
  • Minimizes EnerSys' exposure and risk on projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 3+ Years of Project Management or Program Management.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, Visio, and Project.
  • This position performs work for the US Government and is controlled by export restrictions. Therefore, qualified candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent.

Preferred

  • 5 years of Space Flight Hardware experience.
  • 2+ Years program management experience.
  • Familiarity with battery technologies.
  • Familiarity with cost plus programs and earned value management.
