Job Purpose

Reconcile intercompany accounts and interact with others World Wide with regards to intercompany activity. Reconcile assigned General Ledger accounts and prepare journal entries. Assist in the monthly close. Prepare reports, verify for correctness, distribute, and troubleshoot questions that arise from these reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately prepare and record monthly journal entries in the BaaN and HFM systems and verify that they are properly reflected in our accounting system. Reconcile intercompany account balances. Prepare and issue intercompany statements with complete back-up. Resolve questions and problems from the field.
  • Prepare account reconciliations each month, including have/need analyses where applicable, for assigned Balance Sheet Accounts. Assist in agreeing BaaN to HFM.
  • Assist in the monthly close.
  • Maintain SOX Compliance documentation. Interact with internal and external auditors. Assist in the year-end audit.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects, and other duties as assigned. Must be able and willing to work overtime.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
  • 2 to 5 years accounting experience desired (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and written) in a professional manner when dealing with employees and management both inside and outside the finance department.
  • Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office products, BaaN, and HFM).
  • Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and translations, a plus.
