Software Engineering Manager, Infrastructure - Reality Labs Responsibilities:
- Be both highly technical, hands-on coder and an effective people manager
- Communicate across functions and drive engineering initiatives
- Participate in technical design
- Be a subject matter expert in the infrastructure domain
- Define and influence product strategy
- Develop and support processes to maintain uptime, SLAs and availability of critical platform components
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management
- 5+ years experience coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, Python and/or PHP
- Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD, software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems like Git and Mercurial.
- Experience in automation for consumer electronics.
