Job Details
Meta is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Campus Lead to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our suite of products operates to meet the demands of our customers. The EHS Campus Lead will work with the global EHS team and local data center site management to develop and implement a world-class environmental, health and safety program to keep all data center employees and all Meta partners safe while working at our facilities and ensure compliance with our EHS standards. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Campus Lead Responsibilities:
- Deliver and track all necessary health and safety training for onsite employees and contingent workers and maintain accurate training records
- Identify and ensure compliance with all local, state, federal and company health, safety and environmental policies, including tracking all necessary records and documentation
- Provide functional direction to contracted services
- Partner with a diverse range of vendors to uphold environmental, health and safety requirements on site
- Assist in the development and implementation of organization wide EHS standards and guidelines
- Develop site-based plans for the implementation and on-going management of global EHS standards
- Build and maintain a site safety culture that engages and involves site leadership and site team members to be active participants
- Manage activities to support day-to-day EHS operations and partner with relevant EHS professionals involved in construction activities to ensure alignment and segregation of responsibilities, as appropriate
- Actively support in incident investigations, root cause analyses and injury case management
- Oversee operational safety programs for the team (electrical glove exchange, fall protection inspections etc.)
- Review site work procedures to assign risk levels and review risk mitigation plans
- Participate in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and make health, safety and environmental recommendations accordingly
- 10+ years’ experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field
- BS degree in safety or health sciences, or related discipline and 5+ years’ experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field in lieu of 10+ years’ experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field
- Experience in program development, management, and execution
- Experience in leading or managing incident investigation and mitigation
- Experience working in a mission critical environment
- Experience with NFPA 70E, management of federal regulations and/or environmental permitting processes
- EHS certifications from Board of Certified Safety Professional (BCSP) or equivalent international agency
- Experience or understanding of procedure-based work
