The Product Strategy team's mission is to ‘shape the best strategic direction for Meta’. As part of the Chief Strategy Office, we enable Meta to most effectively allocate resources, both within and across product portfolios, by providing a holistic understanding of our products, markets, and opportunities to service customer needs. We then translate this into actionable recommendations for our long-term product roadmaps, and work with Product, Engineering and other cross-functional leaders to maximize impact for Meta.Successful candidates for this position will have or develop a deep understanding of the product landscape, including trends, players, technologies, and underlying dynamics. They will partner with cross-functional teams or executives, and communicate their insights and recommendations to product leaders and executives. The ideal candidate will have solid data analysis skills, good product sense and structured thinking & communication. Product Strategy Lead Responsibilities:
- Build a deep understanding of our existing business using internal and external data
- Strategically evaluate new product opportunities, and how they fit into a product portfolio
- Although this is an individual contributor role, will work with cross-functional partners (Product, Data Science, Engineering, User Research, Marketing, Finance, Legal etc.) to surface opportunities and threats, outline data-driven strategic decisions, and frame actionable product recommendations
- Effectively present and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to executives, product and business leaders, and cross-functional partners, in order to influence product roadmap decisions
- 7+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, finance, business operations, corporate strategy, investment banking, product management, or similar
- Quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with business acumen
- Experience structuring and solving product problems, and influencing product decisions to move insights to action
- Masters’ degree or equivalent in business, marketing, analytics, engineering, or other related quantitative discipline (e.g. MBA)
- 11+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategy, finance, business operations, corporate strategy, investment banking, or partnerships
- 3+ years of experience leading strategy projects at a consulting firm, investment bank, or in a corporate strategy team
- Experience in the consumer internet space, including social, communications, media, and entertainment verticals
- Experience working in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
- Experience working with product strategy in technology
