Date Posted:2024-01-19 Country:United States of America Location:HTX36: Richardson, TX 3200 E Renner Rd , Richardson, TX, 75082-2402 USA Position Role Type:Onsite This position is for a highly motivated team leader of 15+ Systems Engineers whose charter is to design, develop, test, and deploy mission critical weapon systems for the United States Navy and Air Force. This team develops Systems of Systems that provide Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (C3) capabilities to our customer’s most crucial platforms. The qualified leader will have past experience in hiring and establishing highly integrated, multi-disciplined Systems Engineers that work in a broad set of Systems of Systems solutions for DoD based air vehicle and mission systems. Creativity and leadership in designing these mission systems through digital tenants (Model Based Systems Engineering, digital twin simulation/integration/test, and automation of build delivery and test) is paramount. Full Systems engineering life cycle experience is required, working within integrated agile release train teams that include Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing teams - for execution and delivery. Primary Responsibilities:
- Technical direction - candidate must be able to direct the utilization of systems engineering fundamentals, project design, and systems test concepts for mission processing and communication systems
- Program technical and execution planning - candidate must be able to guide team members on the creation of system engineering plans, execution baselines, program execution and staffing plans, and technical risk assessments in support of customer expectations and business objectives
- Project management - candidate must be able to remain cognizant of, as well as guide team members on, the management of scope, schedule and budget for systems engineering activities; candidate must be well versed in using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance measurement; candidate must be able to assign and coordinate staffing
- Bid and proposal - candidate must be able to lead, review, and provide guidance to team members on bid and proposal activities for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and pursuits
- Personnel administration - candidate must be able to perform hiring decisions, performance assessment, and personnel management for a team of technical staff members
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience in all phases of product development (full life cycle) in Systems of Systems programs.
- Previous experience as an engineering leader, lead systems engineer, project lead, or IPT lead.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Experience as prime integrator (or major subcontractor) for entire Weapon System DoD airborne platforms (Air Vehicle, Avionics, Mission, Ground support).
- Experience working with subcontract engineering partners as the prime contractor.
- Experience with VLF, HF, V/UHF, SATCOM communication systems.
- Experience with integration of multi-enclave network systems.
- Experience in design and development of processing systems.
- Experience with $50M+ Systems Engineering execution efforts.
- Experience/knowledge with development methods such as Iterative or Agile.
