Job Description
The Flexographic Printer role gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in a team environment
and you will be tasked to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all printing equipment. This person performs all necessary printing requests coming from customers and the company and is expected to have a working knowledge of various printing equipment and printing techniques to assure quality.
- Operate Printing Presses, turret machines, Fanfolders and slitters.
- Read and comprehend a work order and bill of materials.
- Prepare machines for production.
- Efficiently perform changeovers and set ups , monitor, and adjust the printing process and minimise waste .
- Perform preventive maintenance and clean the presses and make minor repairs…
- Team player that works effectively in a team environment to reach daily targets
- Fills out all necessary paperwork and pertinent job-related information.
- Ensures total quality of the job while in operation.
- Pack and label cartons of finished products.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Observes all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment when required and proposes safety improvement ideas.
- Must be able to work reasonable overtime as required.
- Must be able to work shift work as required.
Qualifications
- Trade Certificate in Printing & Graphic Arts
- Experience in the printing industry
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
