Job Title: Field Sales Representative - Mesquite, TX
 
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for selling Nestlé products into retail/commercial establishments within a specific retailer/commercial grouping. This position is located in Mesquite, TX territory and successful candidate must live within 50 miles of territory. Responsibilities:
As a Field Sales Representative, your responsibilities will include selling incremental items, closing distribution/new item voids, and securing secondary displays. You will be responsible for ensuring Planogram (POG) compliance and addressing any On Shelf Availability (OSA) / Out of Stock (OOS) issues identified through the Sales Recommendation Engine (SRE). Additionally, you will be expected to place Point of Sale (POS) materials and Instant Redeemable Coupons (IRCs) as requested. It will be your responsibility to ensure the correct product mix at non-POG retailers. 


Driving new sales and improving customer relationships will be a key aspect of your role. This will involve establishing and maintaining rapport with key store personnel. You will be expected to meet and/or exceed all promotional sales goals by utilizing various strategies such as price reductions, displays, local events, POS, digital activation, IRCs, etc. for all assigned accounts, including indirect Headquarters (HDQs). Ensuring compliance with all headquarter promotion plans will be crucial, which may involve pre-selling, up-selling display quantities, and capturing incremental displays/sales opportunities.


Attendance and active participation in all meetings as directed by your leader will be required. You will also need to review your weekly schedule and prepare the necessary information to complete each assigned activity. Monitoring results through Power Bi reports and taking action to address any marketplace opportunities will be essential. Sharing successes, competitor market activity, and market insights on the internal Nestlé System (Workplace) will contribute to the overall success of the team.


Recording all required information into the Nestlé Mobile Sales Application will be part of your responsibilities. As the owner of the overall Nestlé relationship, you will be responsible for store deployment and execution. Conducting regular business reviews with store leadership will be necessary to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Proactively sharing best practices, solutions, and insights across the team will be encouraged to drive results. Lastly, communicating competitive and market activity/insights to Sales and Account Team Management will be vital for strategic decision-making.

 

Requirements:
•    Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree, Associates, Vocational/Technical education, or equivalent work experience. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
•    Preferably, a minimum of 1 year of successful Retail Sales and/or Consumer Goods experience with industry/retail knowledge is preferred.
•    Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are required.
•    Must have the ability to embrace change and adapt to new ways of working.
•    Demonstrates leadership ability through direct or cross-functional team experience.
•    Ability to recognize obstacles and involve others to take immediate action to move things forward.
•    Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
•    Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
•    Must be able to align a strategy and enable results through others.
•    Possesses interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others.
•    Effective planning and prioritization skills.
•    Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
•    Depending on the territory location, must be able to travel overnight approximately up to 20% of the time.
•    Must embrace an entrepreneurial mindset.
