Job Description
- Drive, manage and support the forecast and financial reporting operational cadence, working cross functionally with contributors within Finance and beyond to ensure adherence to timelines and the highest standards of data quality.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile and identify gaps, uncover unmet business needs and work back upstream to the data and process owners to understand and address issues, where necessary.
- Develop a deep understanding of the metrics that we report, the processes that drives these metrics (quote to cash/procure to pay), the data behind the metrics, how they are currently reported and how we can enhance and provide additional insights in the future.
- Perform impact analysis on proposed system changes, troubleshooting/root cause analysis, engage in UAT and other data validation/data remediation efforts as needed.
- Support the finance team from a current and future state reporting perspective (e.g. Excel based, dashboards, ad hoc analysis, etc.).
- Become proficient in the current tech stack, while being open for opportunities to improve tools/process and enable the larger team to improve efficiency.
- Embrace, adhere to and enhance existing change management processes.
- Elicit requirements and translate requirements into technical specifications.
- 5+ years of in-depth, financial analytics experience in a SaaS business context preferred, with proven ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency, deliver faster and automate/scale.
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated analytic experience with a majority of the following data domains: Revenue, Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Remaining Performance Obligation (RPO), Bookings, Billings, Scheduled Billings
- Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures and translate conceptual understanding to action.
- Highly detail-oriented, meticulous, analytical and thorough.
- Strong team player, able and willing to engage and collaborate in a team environment, take ownership of tasks and drive through to conclusion.
- Motivated and curious to expand understanding and business acumen.
- Solid understanding of technology industry financial processes, standards and cadence.
- Engaged self-starter with the ability to advance tasks with minimal guidance, exercise independent judgment and appropriately balance time investment with the need to progress towards delivery.
- Reputable data skills that will garner respect and strengthen partner relationships across functions.
- Experience with BI (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and Forecast, Planning and Analysis solutions (e.g. OneStream, Anaplan, etc.), Excel, and reading/writing SQL.
- Experience with working in a growing company vs. an established, known Enterprise brand.
- Experience working with data warehouse deployments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
