Salesforce is a team sport, and we play to win. Join us! Job Description The Enterprise Architect is a key customer-facing role within the Northern European Solution Engineering function. You will act as a domain expert to dedicated accounts and sales teams. You will help determine Salesforce Customer 360 platform fits into the business and IT architecture of our top accounts. With a broad background including business, data and AI and technical architecture as well as cloud computing, the Enterprise Architect will map the transformation requirements of some of the largest companies in the region to the optimal Salesforce solution whilst simultaneously doing so in a way that is sensitive to the particular legal, risk management & regulatory needs.   A Day in the Life As an Enterprise Architect no two days are the same. You are a valued team member, collaborator, contributor and thought leader who will spend the majority of your time helping our top account customers on their digital transformation journey. This said, a typical day may start with a team call where you share experiences and expertise with your colleagues in the wider North Europe Solutions team. You will then start work on a presentation with the CIO of a major customer, using assets from the vast Salesforce repository as well as using your own creativity. You help define a target architecture and roadmap for their company of the future, using your knowledge on Industry trends, best practices and customer references. You also meet up with the CISO and explore how our security and compliance initiatives can help them meet theirs. The afternoon will be spent presenting your industry point of view to the Chief Digital Officer of another top account and debating how AI visions can be translated into real returns.  Role Description The Enterprise Architect will act as an industry domain expert to our strategic customers on the Salesforce Customer 360 Platform and how it fits into an enterprise business and IT architecture our customers and prospects respective industries. With a broad IT background including: business architecture, technical architecture, security and compliance, software/systems engineering and cloud computing, the Enterprise Architect will help position Salesforce solutions and transform customer business strategy into their success.The Enterprise Architect should have a strong industry point of view, able to discuss with CTO/CIO, CISO and Chief Digital Officers future trends and challenges and provide a Salesforce perspective on how these will be addressed.The Enterprise Architect understands business and technical requirements and helps customers develop and refine a technical strategy and Salesforce solution fit.The Enterprise Architect is a subject matter expert in one or more categories that may include: various industries and industry regulations, security and compliance, business strategy, application architecture, data & information, integration, security, cloud computing, technology, distributed platforms and analytics. The Enterprise Architect will help determine which Salesforce technologies to leverage in customer driven architectures leveraging Enterprise Architecture frameworks and Salesforce agile methodologies. The Enterprise Architect will help the sales teams and customers design specific product roadmaps against business strategies.  Skills and Requirements Experience/Skills Required:
  • Work experience in the information technology sector, either as a vendor, consultant or customer
  • A deep understanding of the legal frameworks that apply in today’s environments : GDPR, IT Risk, data residency rules etc.
  • Strong pre-sales/business development experience from a software vendor, Systems Integrator or other consulting organisation
  • A good understanding of the architectural principles of cloud based platforms as well as the more traditional on-premise solutions typically used
  • Familiarity with major cloud offerings in the market and ability to discuss cloud architecture
  • A good understanding of enterprise application integration, and an understanding of integration considerations such as process orchestration, customer data integration and master data management.
  • Unrestricted right to work within the EU.
Additional Skills (useful but not required):
  • Enterprise architecture certification such as TOGAF
  • Previous practitioner and/or implementation experience of Salesforce solutions or relevant solutions
  • Previous development or project management experience
  • Experience in an Architect role in an organisation within the Banking or Insurance world
  • An understanding of design thinking
  • Understanding of emerging solutions such as mobile, AI and their relevance to the industry
  • A good understanding of the security/compliance processes and standards & issues involved in the industry
