Responsibilities SIMULIA Industry Process Success (IPS) is looking for a highly skilled and motivated candidate to support customer deployment and services of T&M (transportation and mobility) IPEs (Industry Process Expert) as well as develop Go to Market material and develop new methodologies to maintain and expand existing workflows using SIMULIA’s fluid modeling solutions: 
  • Act as a member of the SIMULIA Industry Process Success, Transportation & Mobility Group responsible for performing Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulations. These include, but are not limited to Fluids analysis using Lattice Boltzmann (LBM) and Finite Volume simulations.
  • You will create and present Go to Market material such as Compelling Value Presentations, Best Practices and other material to support deployment of SIMULIA applications to both internal and external audiences.
  • You will validate the latest features in SIMULIA’s fluids analysis software, developing new technical solutions of interest to the automotive industry, solving challenging problems, and supporting vehicle development projects.
  • Use of all of SIMULIA’s software and other Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools to develop and support workflows that leverage SIMULIA’s multi-physics, multi-scale simulation technologies.
  • Work with the leading global automotive and heavy vehicle companies and help them solve challenging problems related to aerodynamics, aeroacoustics & heat transfer.
  • Communicate with customers, providing expert technical support for structural applications. You will also collaborate with members of the group, technical account teams, and the product development teams within the company.
Candidates with experience in vehicle aerodynamics & design, lattice boltzmann methods, automotive CFD, fluid-structure interactions, or optimization methods are especially encouraged to apply. You will report to the SIMULIA IPS T&M Industry Process Expert Director.   • PhD or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
  • Expert knowledge of fluid mechanics fundamentals, with 5+ years of experience applying fundamentals to solve practical engineering problems in the Transportation and Mobility industry.
  • Expertise using commercial CAE tools as well as CAD and geometry meshing software.
  • UNIX skills, script programming and knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Python and MATLAB.
  • Expert knowledge and experience using 3DExperience platform for both design and simulation is  plus
  • Strong English verbal/written communication skills and good presentation skills.
    • Note: Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $110,000 and $130,000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
