    Position Overview

    Autodesk is looking for an iOS Mobile Software Engineer to join Autodesk Data Platform team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a great opportunity to join a team that delivers both internal and customer facing applications and services that provide the data collection needs of all data scientists, data analysts and data engineers throughout the organization. In this hybrid role, you will have the opportunity to understand the entire data platform from product instrumentation through to business analytics, machine learning, and data-driven products. As a Senior Engineer, you will be joining a seasoned engineering team handling all client-side. You will have the opportunity to work with many new and exciting technologies and frameworks used in our data platform. You can be part of improving quality of our products across all aspects of our core data platform and see your work drive the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Recommend appropriate technologies to be used to achieve productivity and efficiency

    • Design and build reusable components, libraries, and tools for Android and iOS to instrument and ingest product data effectively

    • Collaborate with other engineers to produce consistent developer experience across different platforms

    • Collaborate with Product Manager, Engineering Manager, and other stakeholders to deliver features according to agreed scope and schedule

    • Collaborate with QA engineers to define software testing strategy

    • Ensure the quality, performance, and compatibility of the product using test automation

    • Build and maintain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for frequent releases of product

    • Promote and accelerate the usage and integration of our component by conducting trainings sessions, providing supports, writing clear product documentation, and troubleshooting issues

    • Provide guides and supports to other engineers on development processes and product architecture

    • Review source codes contributed by other engineers

    Minimum qualifications

    • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

    • Expert in iOS development with at least 7 years of experience (expertise in both platforms is an advantage)

    • Experiences writing codes in either Kotlin or Swift (experiences in both languages is an advantage)

    • Solid understanding of mobile platform design concepts and its restrictions/limitations (e.g. processes, multi-threading, background tasks, networking, etc.)

    • Experience in writing mobile apps or libraries using Kotlin Multiplatform Project with SQLite integration and REST API communication

    • Proficient in writing automated tests with any testing framework (Junit, TestNG, Kotlin Test, etc.)

    • Proficient in working with distributed versioning control system

    • Team player who is willing to help and collaborate well with other team members

    • Great communication skill (written and spoken)

    • Degree in computer science or related field

    Preferred qualifications

    • Familiarity with Java for Android

    • Familiarity with C++ and desktop software development

    • Familiarity with web front end technology (JavaScript, HTML, JavaScript)

    • Experience working with product analytics services (Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.)
