What a Senior Manager, Product Management does at Visa:

Visa is searching for a Warsaw-based Senior Manager to play a critical role in the Visa DPS product solution. Working as part of a small but growing team with a start-up culture, and supported by strong global product and technical teams, you will use your breadth of software and product development skills to primarily support the Warsaw-based scrum team.

This role will represent the product view on one of many high performing global scaled agile development teams and requires very close collaboration with all the global development teams. This role will:

1.      Lead, direct and support product software development for the Poland based scrum team.

2.      Work with business owners, senior product managers, clients, partners, architects, user experience and global cross-functional counterparts to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements that will be delivered by the Poland based team.

3.      Provide feedback on proposed Epics and Features to ensure successful delivery of capabilities that will drive the business.

4.      Collaborate with the Global Visa DPS Product Management teams to ensure expectations and priorities are aligned.

5.      Support and mentor product owners on other agile development teams.

Day to day responsibilities:

·        Direct, support and nurture the software delivery team in Warsaw.

·        Be the voice of the product and business to the team, ensuring communication of strategic themes and the why of what we are building.

·        Work with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems to achieve final technology/business solution.

·        Work with stakeholders to understand the business objectives and translate these into Feature acceptance criteria to input to the product roadmap and backlog.

·        Ensure the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, including dependencies and priorities based on the overall strategy.

·        Elaborate on Epics, Themes and Features into user stories that are granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint.

·        Review QA test results before releasing to UAT.

·        Support testing, training and implementation activities, including documentation that supports internal and external stakeholders that consume Visa DPS services

·        Facilitate in providing estimates for user stories, bug fixes, spikes, etc.

·        Attend and participate in agile ceremonies that require Product Owner support and/or input(e.g. planning and refinement sessions)

·        Escalate issues and concerns in a timely manner to ensure delivery.

·        Identify new product innovative opportunities that will jointly benefit our clients and Visa, using your detailed insights on the internal operations and mechanics of the product

·        Establish strong internal partnerships – partner with product management, tech, client services and off-train teams to effectively deliver change

·        Advise, consult and be a thought partner - help drive and provide input into product management and broader Visa DPS business team.

This will be one of the first scrum teams for Visa DPS in Poland and will be part of a larger agile train with a global footprint of teams in Denver, Singapore, Poland and the United Kingdom. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

What you will need:

• Successful track record of working with cross-functional teams and manage scrum teams that are geographically dispersed and across time zones (direct experience an advantage)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and stakeholder management with an ability to translate business needs to a technical team
• Results orientated, continues to work toward achievement of goals in the face of obstacles readily integrating changes into work processes and outputs
• Good technical understanding of web applications and APIs
• Intellectual agility and attention to detail
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and work on multiple concurrent activities
• Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way
