SUMMARY

The Operations Manager, under the supervision of the Director of State Operations and in collaboration with the Associate Vice President of California, Louisiana and the District of Columbia, is responsible for leading and/or assisting state operations with tactical management. The Operations Manager is tasked with responsibilities ranging from contract management, assisting with county desk audits, leading and/or assisting with new requests or projects related to operational efficiencies and improvement, reviewing and/or approving reports, invoices, and forms, Fee-For-Service forecasts, preparation of annual corporate budgets, other duties as assigned by the Director of State Operations or the Associate Vice President.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strives to maximize operational efficiency by developing and managing initiatives and tactical plans to meet short and long-term performance goals.
  • With input from the Director of State Operations and Associate Vice President, uses innovation to assist with establishing and achieving operational improvement and efficiencies in relation to annual goals.
  • Assists in strategic planning with Director of State Operations, Associate Vice President and other team members by participating in the on-going development of policies and procedures, business plans, and company objectives, focusing on the improvement of operational systems.
  • Responsible for review and approval of local forms, invoices, and reports related to budget and contractual obligation.
  • Assist state leadership with preparation and submission of annual corporate budget, Fee-for-Service revenue forecasting, and Annual Operating Plan.
  • Monitors contract utilization for all programs on a monthly basis.
  • Tracks and reports trends related to weekly revenue.
  • Maintains a commitment to professional development by participating in on-going supervision, training, and department and team meetings, as outlined by policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to professional and ethical interactions by interacting professionally, ethically, and respectfully with all team members and co-workers, at all times.
  • Supports on-going and future business needs by timely completing duties as assigned, to effectively support business priorities and processes.
  • Builds internal and external relationships with integrity.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of State Operations.

TRAVEL

  • Will require off-site travel 20% - local and out of state (meeting, county and/or client needs)
  • Will use personal car or vehicle as required for travel and/or conduct / attend meeting and/or trainings off-site.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assures the completion of indirect supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including training employees, planning, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Director of State Operations

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Bachelors degree and work experience in Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • Strong business acumen.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years of experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, and Operations; multi-site operations or finance management; prior Behavioral Health experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Excel.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must have current fingerprint clearance and maintain during employment.
  • Must be able to pass the background check.
  • Proof of a valid California drivers license and auto insurance.
  • Proof of education required.

  • Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with wide groups of directors. Ability to make effective presentations.

  • Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and common fractions and decimals.

  • Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Leadership Skills

Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels. Drive and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
