Job Description The “IT Functional Analyst - Procurement” as part of the Finance Systems Support group, provides support for the Indirect Procurement Applications user community. To perform work at the highest level.  To be an individual contributor to the development, integration with, maintenance, and enhancement of Avery Dennison’s procurement systems, providing specialized functional or business knowledge to projects. Incumbents act as internal consultants, providing technical guidance or business process expertise on the most complex projects or researching strategic planning matters from a technical or business standpoint.   To have project leadership responsibilities for small projects or subprojects.  To share responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time product delivery. To assist in the financial systems integration of new business acquisitions and the rollout of Ariba and related applications to existing Avery businesses. To assist in the integration of new business acquisitions into the Avery Dennison Financial & support model. About the Role Standard working day 6pm to 2.30am IST (in order to provide support to US & Mex customer base - 8.30am to 5.00pm EDT) The position can be done virtually, from a home office or from any virtual location with reliable Internet (due to regular verbal customer and team interaction required a dedicated quiet space is imperative). Attendance will be required in the WDC office on an ad hoc basis  Analysts will also be required to adopt a flexible working pattern to meet the requirements of the Global Team.  Regular international travel will be required (USA once per quarter for a week & EU once per year for a week)- Candidates with US business visa preferred. Responsibilities
  • Assist with managing the entire Ariba SaaS application portfolio: Buying and Invoicing (P2P), Spend Visibility, Contracts, Sourcing, Guided Buying, eForms etc.
  • Assist with deploying Oracle Fusion (Procurement) application in multiple regions and support procurement stakeholders.
  • Provide production support, incl. troubleshooting for the Ariba SaaS / Oracle Fusion (Procurement) users globally.
  • Provide on-call and out of hours support, when necessary
  • Maintain existing application and work with the vendor to implement enhancements / additional functionality using standard development methods
  • Manage vendor development, ensuring compliance with corporate standards for applications development
  • Maintain a controlled SOX-compliant environment
  • Provide expertise, usually as a member of a project team, in the analysis, initiation, design, testing and integration between business applications:
  • Partner with the product OEM team throughout the project lifecycle
  • Analyze and challenge business requirements and design or recommend effective solutions
  • Develop and execute test plans and ensure systems and application integrity and quality
  • Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all relevant supported Ariba module changes / enhancements
  • Stay abreast of new trends in the development tools and technique

SKILLS & ABILITIES Essential Technical Skills:
  • Oracle Cloud / Fusion - Procurement Module
  • Ariba SaaS: Buying and Invoicing (P2P), Spend Visibility, Contracts, Sourcing, Guided Buying, eForms 
  • Experience required and certification desired in one or more of the following disciplines: SQL/PLSQL / Unix Shell Script / XML / Java / ITK
  • Experience working with Oracle Integration Cloud or any cloud based integration tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
  • Able to organize, plan, and execute small enhancements from vision through implementation, together with the vendor
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple incident, changes and projects
  • Able to work independently and manage individual workload
  • Able to operate as part of a team - solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional teams and foster team commitment to tasks
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong relations with users and customers
  • Experience required and certification desired in one or more of the following disciplines: SQL/PLSQL / Unix Shell Script / XML / Java / ITK
  • Experience working with Oracle Integration Cloud or any cloud based integration tools.
Desirable
  • Test Management Tools such as HPQC or similar technology
  • Change Management Tools such as GitHub, FlexDeploy or similar technology.
Additional Information We are looking for someone with :
  • Strong functional knowledge of the Ariba SaaS applications and/or Oracle Fusion - Procurement 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training, is required
  • Language:  Must be fluent in English
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production support environment, business application design, test, integration and modification in an online environment.
  • A good  technical awareness, be able to interpret and communicate end-user requirements to the Ariba Technical support team in relation to systems development & build
  • Good communication & negotiation skills
