Job Description The US Deal team is a function in Finance responsible for providing financial analysis and deal pricing expertise to compete for client brand decisions. This includes end-to-end deal execution in collaboration with various stakeholders and cross functional teams. The team is critical to delivering against Visa's revenue and business objectives and highly visible to executive leadership. As our business and strategy evolve, selling more things to more people, deals are getting more complex and we must also evolve our deal operations to increase the efficiency and efficacy of deal making. This role will be part of the US Deal Team focused on optimizing our end-to-end deal process, resources, tools, and deal performance. This includes improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the deal process, increasing the scale and impact of the deal team, and leading digital transformation within the organization. They will advance our deal team operations, bringing more automation and better tooling to support successful, sustainable, scalable deal execution. The Senior Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive performance and productivity around all aspects of our deals. They must be team oriented, collaborative, flexible, and diplomatic. They must bring a strategic mindset, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement. Essential Functions:
  • Business Reporting and Analysis - Coordinate with functional partners to design and manage key reports that meet the goals of the leadership team. Proactively identify trends, opportunities, and potential risk factors that require executive attention, support business development, and/or drive decision making.
    • Assemble the intelligence into dashboards and reporting tools to be leveraged by internal stakeholders in Sales, Product, Finance/Finance Systems, Operations and Legal/CCM teams
    • Monitor and forecast deal workflow and resource needs across the US Deal Team
    • Periodically assess the effectiveness & efficiency of deal governance and approval process
    • Deal Performance Tracking
  • Deal Database and Deal Tracking – Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of the deals database. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the day-to-day GIG admin and governance responsibilities, including reducing manual entry, increasing automation, and introducing mechanisms to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Process Improvement – Drive digital transformation within the team while successfully balancing change management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize financial analysis.
    • Identify and understand current business & technology requirements and process flows
    • Support development of a streamlined future state where deal modeling and performance tracking is centralized in a web-based/cloud solution
  • Deal Modeling/Fundamentals – Understand the fundamentals of detailed financial models and analyses to evaluate client incentive contract offers, utilizing and producing different financial outputs as appropriate (including Visa P&L, projected cash flow and amortization schedules).
    • Be able create & manage standard client deals through the offer approval and execution process on behalf of Finance, coordinating and supporting various internal stakeholders
  • Deal Center of Excellence - Partner with deal team members and stakeholders to develop and maintain all resources and tools to support deals – both internal and external to our team.
    • Help to standup centralized Deal Center for sharing tools, resources, best practices, training for team members and stakeholders
    • Leverage best practices and insights from Global / Non-US Deal Teams
  • Project Management - Manage and prioritize project pipeline, balancing short term optimization of existing tools and resources with longer term structural changes that may require future investment
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Qualifications Basic Qualifications • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD • Experience working with large datasets, database management, data visualization, and/or business intelligence • Experience in financial modelling, planning, and analysis preferred. Familiarity with financial model design, development, and maintenance for complex business case scenarios • Understanding and exposure to enterprise tools supporting deals. on the modelling side (e.g. Excel/CPQ/Conga), CRM (e.g. Dynamics) and CLM (e.g. Apptus) • Proven ability to manage and prioritize a project pipeline. Demonstrates strong sense of urgency to solving problems, even in absence of specific deadline • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in and bring structure to ambiguous environments. • A passion for continuous improvement, finance / operational transformation, and optimizing user experience • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI is essential. Proficiency in SQL, Python and other financial modelling tools and software is beneficial. Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer.
