As an Independent Licensed Therapist, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical services to patients in an in-person, office-based environment. This position is within our Refresh Mental Health (RMH) organization, which provides a variety of behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs. We seek a full-time and part-time Independent Licensed Therapist for our Lincoln, RI location. Primary Responsibilities:
- Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
- Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods
- Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
- Obtains an LICSW, LMFT or LMHC for practice in the state of Rhode Island
- 1+ years of post-graduate experience in a clinical outpatient setting
- Experience with health psychology
- Experience working with children or adolescents
- Experience with family counseling
- Comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations
- Proven ability to work with patients in person and telehealth
- Hybrid role in Lincoln, RI (2-3 days remote and office based)
- Clear and active LICSW, LMFT or LMHC licensed in the state of Rhode Island
- 2+ years of clinical experience treating patients with behavioral health conditions
- Hospital based experience
- Proven ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patient and other members of the care team
- Proven solid grasp of technology solutions and tools and ability to adapt
- Proven evidence of working effectively and collaboratively with colleagues
- Proven to be self-motivated, ambitious, and able to quickly build rapport with clients
- Proven solid computer and basic technology skills are needed
