    Position Overview:

    Reporting to the VP Servicing Operations, this role will support all of Servicing Operations’ business areas including Investor Reporting, Nonperforming Loan Operations, Interim Servicing Management, Default Fees & Claims and Real Estate Owned (REO) Operations and works closely with the Servicing Operations Analysis and Business Intelligence (SOABI) team. The Senior Business and Risk lead will be a trusted partner for each business area. In addition, this role will play a key role in collaboration with areas outside of Servicing Operations.

    Our Impact:

    Servicing Operations has a portfolio of over 13.5 million loans, works with >1200 servicers, has numerous processes and, with our key partners, manages over 180 applications/microservices.

    Your Impact:
    • Risk & Controls. Act as the VP Servicing Operations’ representative for exams, reviews and audits. Will track all operational events and issues and timely closure. Will help identify areas of focus to reduce operational risk. This would include critical assessment of both historical and proposed practices and working with business areas to implement process improvements.

    • Business Management. Support various business management activities and requests.

    • Management Reporting & Analysis. Ensure Servicing Operations develops, enhances and maintains reports and analyses that fully describe its performance. Includes establishing/updating Key Performance Measurements.

    • Drive Efficiency, Manage Expenses. Assist in driving efficiencies and managing expenses by monitoring technology/investment roadmaps, supporting headcount management, monitoring and enhancing capacity models, establishing/maintaining cost metrics and liaising with Finance as appropriate.

    • Change Management. Servicing Operations owns a significant number of applications. Assist the VP Servicing Operations (business driver) and Servicing Operations business owners in prioritizing system changes. Liaise regularly with business partners in Product Delivery, Business Technology Office, and other areas as appropriate.

    • Process Redesign/Enhancement and EUC Development. Work with business areas to Find opportunities for operational improvements and help determine the best solution path e.g. non-production automation tools vs production tools.

    • Ad-hoc/Special Requests. Help ensure Servicing Operations satisfies key asks and manages to deadlines.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree + 10+ years related experience.

    • Strong management skills

    • Strong analytical skills

    • Expertise in working with complex and rapidly changing, technology-enabled business area with a strong understanding of associated risks.

    • Experience working in mortgage servicing or financial institutions.

    • Experience working in a goal driven environment.

    • Skilled in communication and presentation to senior management/board level audiences.

    • Experience monitoring and/or managing projects and processes.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Experience working with both internal and external parties.

    • Strong negotiation skills

    This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $164,000 - $246,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
