Job Description: 
 

The Functional Development Specialist will serve as the Warehouse Trainer for Nestle Health Science brands such as Puritans Pride and for our International Business. This role will work onsite at our Manufacturing Facility in Bohemia, New York and will train new hires in various different Manufacturing and Production roles. Full flexibility to work Monday through Friday onsite including 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift required. This is not a remote or hybrid-based role. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 

•    Conduct training sessions covering pacified areas such as on-the-job training and routine refresher trainings as required. 
•    Develop and conduct training programs for employees by performing the essential duties and responsibilities as indicated.
•    Assess production processes and complete job task analyses for different production areas. 
•    Assess training effectiveness and provides guidance to management on improvement and training methodology. 
•    Conduct training needs assessments, identify training strategies and assist with the development and implementation of new training programs and methodologies. 
•    Coordinate training schedule with the new hiring and training demands of the Company.
•    Prepare material for new training programs, review, evaluate, and modify existing training programs, as well as recommend appropriate changes as needed. 
•    Develop and maintain best practices employee training programs and initiatives for the Company.
•    Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness of the training provided.
•    Report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods to the Manager of Manufacturing Excellence routinely. 
•    Verify and report quality of product and Safety to meet acceptance standards.
•    Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by Management or direct Supervisor within the scope of responsibility and the requirements of the job.
 
Requirements: 
 
•    High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
•    2+ years of relevant work experience required as a Trainer or Coach in the development of others required, preferably withing a manufacturing or production environment. 
•    Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required. 
•    Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, active listening and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to build and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships). 
•    Must be able to understand and follow SOPs, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes) and other written policies by the Company. 
•    Ability to prioritize and deal with key issues in standardized situations required. 
•    Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. 
•    Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders and stairs, as well as bend and stoop to the floor from a standing position. 
•    Willing and able to lift up to and including 50 lbs., stand, climb, bend and kneel within a Manufacturing or Distribution Center environment. 
•    Must be able to work in an environment with known allergens (i.e.: fish oils and other products derived from fish). 
•    Must have full schedule flexibility and availability to work weekdays (Mondays to Fridays) including mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnights (as needed). 
•    Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is desired.  
•    Certified training certification a plus. 
•    Willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the team and the business required.
 

The approximate pay range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
