Job Description

Responsible for overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitment and goals.

Primary responsibility of identifying and driving the capital projects related to plant setup, plant expansion, capacity optimization, enhancement of equipment efficiencies, automation, material handling, plant improvements etc..

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Responsible for the department Engineering work processes that ensures timely and efficient completion of projects in alignment with organization quality processes.

  • Leading End to End execution of projects

  • Review/develop project proposals, presentations, feasibility analysis, preparation of RFP/RFQ, detailed project reports, raising AFE (business case, budget, timeline and justification) etc. for review and approval with all stakeholders.

  • Handling Greenfield and brownfield projects – i.e. setting up new plant, DC, utilities, warehouse, existing plant expansion etc.

  • Getting all necessary legal approval for plant setup / expansion i.e. DISH, MIDC, MPCB etc.

  • Identify bottlenecks, Strategy formulation along with top management, Propose the CAPEX based on business needs

  • Site management

  • Designing layout in view to assist in improving plant efficiency, ergonomic and safety improvement.

  • Developing risk mitigating measures in consultation with respective functional leads

  • Preparation of FMEA,HIRA, MOC , PSSR, pre & post commissioning audits and all corporate EHS requirements with respect to projects

  • Tracking and Updation of project status to all stakeholders .

  • Monitoring and controlling operations with respect to cost, resource deployment, time overruns and quality compliance to ensure satisfactory execution of the same

  • Handling the sourcing and procurement of capital along with procurement team, emphasizing on process excellence and lean manufacturing

  • Cost management throughout the project cycle

  • Upgradation of Coating and slitting lines, Utilities, material handling equipments, storage systems etc.

  • Vendors- Assess and Evaluate Vendors on basis of their capability, potential and quotes.

  • Reconciliation of project cost v/s approved budget

  • Preparing and archiving basic engineering documents, project documentation and project closure

  • Preparing project documents and executing projects as per IMS standard’s requirements

  • Leads change in engineering processes in accordance with industry standards and changing requirements.

  • Develops solutions to engineering problems by analyzing, interpreting and Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative actions.

  • Assigned responsibility for accurate completion and communication of organizational goals and initiatives

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, BS OHSAS 18001:2007 process requirements.

 


Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering 

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience

  • Proficient in the spoken and written English language

  • PMP Certification will be an added advantage.

  • Strong presentation, oral and written communications skills.

  • Should be technically sound, analytical and have a good ability to take decisions.

  • Quick learner

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Proven project management skills.

  • Ability to work with MS projects , Autocad etc.

  • An excellent team player, outstanding contributor and good interpersonal skills.
